HD67N07-A1 - Secure Bridge LAN is the ADFweb solution designed to create secure communication between Ethernet devices through a protected TLS/SSL tunnel.
HD67N07-A1 allows protected data exchange between devices in both existing systems and new projects, offering a practical solution for building secure and controlled Ethernet network applications and for making communication cyber-secure even between devices that do not natively support secure communication protocols, without requiring the replacement of already installed devices.
HD67N07-A1 - Secure Bridge LAN protects Ethernet communications through a protected and encrypted channel based on TLS/SSL. It is designed for Industrial Automation and Building Automation applications where communication must be protected between devices already installed in the field or between devices included in a new secure network architecture.
HD67N07-A1 can be used in two distinct application scenarios. In the first, two Secure Bridge LAN units operate as a pair to create a protected tunnel between two points of the network, securing the communication channel and allowing controlled traffic flow.
In the second, a single unit can be used as an interface between a standard Modbus TCP communication and a Modbus TCP Secure communication, introducing a higher level of security even when one of the devices does not natively support the secure protocol.
Thanks to this flexibility, HD67N07-A1 is a practical solution for retrofit projects, new secure network applications, progressive cybersecurity upgrades and controlled communication management on Ethernet networks.

How It Works
1. Secure Bridge between two devices
In this configuration, two Secure Bridge LAN devices are installed as a pair to create a protected Ethernet tunnel between two points of the network. This mode is ideal when the goal is to protect the communication channel between two areas, two devices or two network segments through a protected, encrypted and controlled connection.
It is suitable both for upgrading existing installations and for developing new applications where secure communication must be included from the design stage.
- Encrypted communication with TLS/SSL
- Secure tunnel between two devices
- IP filter for allowed traffic
- Protocol filter for allowed traffic
2. Bridge between Modbus TCP and Modbus TCP Secure
In this mode, Secure Bridge LAN works as an interface between a standard Modbus TCP communication and a Modbus TCP Secure communication. It can be placed between a Master and a Slave to connect systems with different security levels.
It is especially useful when one device already supports Modbus TCP Secure while the other still uses Modbus TCP, or when secure communication has to be introduced around an existing device without changing the whole architecture.
- Ideal when one of the devices does not natively support Modbus TCP Secure
- Higher protection without replacing the non-secure device
- Suitable for retrofit, new secure projects and gradual migration toward protected communication
Advantages
- Adds an extra cybersecurity layer to Ethernet communications
- Allows the creation of secure, controlled and selective networks
- Reduces the need to replace already installed devices
- Introduces a protected and encrypted TLS/SSL tunnel between devices or network points
- Enables integration between Modbus TCP devices and Modbus TCP Secure
- Allows authorized traffic selection by IP address and protocol
- Suitable for retrofit, plant upgrades and new projects
